Intermediate 1 Explained
Children at this age are improving in the areas of concentration, focus, and gross motor skills, such as balance and weight transfer. At KGTA, we focus on enhancing this development, and furthering the player’s education in the game of tennis.
Lessons at this level focus on movement, speed and agility. Technical training is also taught at this level, such footwork, follow-through, and shot variety & placement. Exercises and drills focus on refining their shots as well as training their muscle memory.
Point-play (in both doubles and singles) is increased with constant guidance and feedback. Every level from Intermediate I forward is based on skill, so KGTA coaches are constantly evaluating students at this level to customize a plan for your child to succeed as rapidly as possible.
